Nothing looks better !
What are Flake Floor Systems ?
Be assured they are definitely not all the same.
Basically coloured flakes are imbedded into the floor coatings creating a wide variety of attractive floor finishes. This is where in most cases the similarity ends.
Many coating companies purchase flakes and then seek out different types of cheap Epoxy sealers and paint based products in order to compete by producing a cheaper application than what is preferable and nowhere near as serviceable as Polyurea & Polyaspartic.
Some epoxy coatings are fine products but one must bear in mind that iCOAT Polyurea & Polyaspartic coatings are 98% more flexible and up to 4 times stronger and harder. Plus Polyurea & Polyaspartic when applied correctly penetrates the concrete and adheres better than any other coating in today’s market, so hot tire lift is eliminated. Epoxy is purely a topical coating and needs to stick to the surface.
Other advantages of iCOAT Polyurea & Polyaspartic include strong chemical and abrasion resistance which is a must either in the home or commercially.
iCOAT floor finishing systems exclusively use decorative chips made of a vinyl composite and have been developed to soak in and absorb resinous coatings. Our materials have been used on many thousands of square metres of floor coatings together with these chips.
There are other manufacturers of decorative chips, however, after testing the physical properties of these chips they were found to be counterproductive to our systems. Other acrylic and urethane chips have a non-flexible nature which results in more top coat being required raising the cost considerably by up to 20%. These non-flexible rigid chips cannot be smoothed which means the floor can become too rough. With iCOAT vinyl chips, floors are even and smooth.
Sacrificing looks for cost is something iCOAT will not do and we urge our customers to install premium finish floor coatings, this is what sets us apart from the competition.
When it gets to decision time on what type of coating to use on your concrete, without any doubt whatsoever, for durability, toughness and resistance to potentially harmful products, choose Polyurea/Polyaspartic every time.
Do not let anyone try and convince you that Epoxy adheres to concrete better than Polyurea/Polyaspartic, Why…..Because it is just not true!
Beware of the so called expert who tries to convince you that his formulations will be designed for your job specifically because that usually means he is probably reducing the quality of what he intends to use in order to increase his profit, at your expense. The products used by iCOAT are tried, true and proven to be as good as claimed and of the very best quality. We do not mix a bit of this and a bit of that, our products a guaranteed unadulterated.
